Why do you say father
And not the soil?
Each minute particle
To consciously or unconsciously
Say yes to, but do we?
Or do we preen instead
And abdicate
Knowledge blindly passed
To the other particles
So that no one can
Distinguish his brother
To say thank you.
I’m attracted to free verse poetry because it leaves more possibility for individual interpretation.
One of my brothers asks his students to calculate how many particles of Caesar are part of us at any moment.
Apparently one can calculate that. In the same way we are made up of particles of roses and worms and
the platypus and the immortal jellyfish.
Today I will thank them all and pay off some of my debt!

Adriane,
That is so cool–a poem in a math calculation!
